Fuel Gas Conditioning Package Skid-Mounted Modular System, Engineered-to-Order

natural gas conditioning skid package

Integrated Flow Solutions Fuel Gas Conditioning Skids are designed to protect natural gas fueled engines and turbines from liquid slugs. These systems can also be configured as seal gas skids or complete seal gas conditioning skids for compressor and turbine applications requiring precise gas quality control., solids (< 0.1 microns) and liquid aerosols.

Additionally, the fuel gas is superheated above the hydrocarbon and water dew points to prevent liquid condensation in the turbine’s combustion chambers. These systems meet or exceed reciprocating engine and turbine manufacturers’ fuel gas quality specifications providing dry, clean fuel to increase the life of the equipment.

Complete Fuel Gas Conditioning System Overview

IFS fuel gas conditioning systems are designed as fully integrated, skid-mounted engineered systems that include:

  • Inlet filtration and separation (scrubbers, coalescers, filters)
  • Electric or indirect heating to control dew point
  • Moisture and hydrocarbon removal
  • Pressure and temperature control
  • Instrumentation and local control panel

This system-level design ensures gas is clean, dry, and superheated to meet turbine and engine fuel gas specifications while reducing downtime and protecting critical equipment.

How Fuel Gas Conditioning Works

Fuel gas enters the system where it is filtered to remove solids and liquids. The gas is then heated above hydrocarbon and water dew points to prevent condensation, followed by final conditioning and delivery to downstream equipment.

Additionally, the fuel gas is superheated above the hydrocarbon and water dew points to prevent liquid condensation in turbine combustion chambers and fuel systems. These systems meet or exceed reciprocating engine and turbine manufacturers’ fuel gas quality specifications, delivering dry, clean fuel that prevents equipment damage, reduces unplanned downtime, and extends operational life.

Heating & Dew Point Control

Heating is a critical component of fuel gas conditioning. IFS systems utilize INTEGRAHEAT electric process heaters and heat exchangers to:

  • Prevent hydrocarbon and water condensation
  • Maintain stable gas temperatures under varying flow conditions
  • Protect turbines, compressors, and downstream equipment
