Aqueous Ammonia Unloading, Storage, & Forwarding Package

Skid-Mounted Modular System, Engineered-to-Order

Integrated Flow Solutions provides engineered aqueous ammonia unloading systems and ammonia forwarding packages designed to safely handle 19% and 29% aqueous ammonia from delivery through storage and transfer to downstream processes.

These aqueous ammonia systems integrate unloading, storage, and pumping aqueous ammonia into a single modular solution that minimizes field assembly while improving operational reliability. Each ammonia forwarding package is designed to deliver consistent flow to the Ammonia Flow Control Unit (AFCU) or other downstream injection points.

Compared to anhydrous systems, aqueous ammonia storage and handling offers a lower pressure, reduced hazard alternative while still delivering reliable performance for SCR and industrial applications.

Complete Aqueous Ammonia System Overview

IFS aqueous ammonia systems are designed as application-specific engineered systems that include:

  • Aqueous ammonia unloading system (truck or rail)
  • Aqueous ammonia storage tanks designed to meet site-specific requirements
  • Ammonia forwarding packages and pump skids for controlled transfer
  • Instrumentation and controls for monitoring flow, pressure, and tank levels
  • Integration with AFCU units or injection systems

This system-level approach ensures consistent ammonia delivery, simplified installation, and reduced downtime across ammonia handling operations.

Designed for Safe & Efficient Ammonia Handling

Aqueous ammonia systems are commonly selected where reduced pressure and simplified storage requirements are preferred. IFS systems are engineered to:

  • Support safe pumping of aqueous ammonia with appropriate pump selection
  • Meet aqueous ammonia storage tank requirements and site constraints
  • Reduce operator risk compared to pressurized ammonia systems
  • Maintain reliable performance for SCR and industrial dosing applications

Typical applications include SCR systems for NOx reduction, power generation facilities, and industrial process plants.
