Natural Gas Pressure Reduction & Regulator Stations

Skid-Mounted, Engineered-to-Order Packages

natural gas pressure reducing station design

Integrated Flow Solutions Gas Pressure Reduction Stations are pre-designed, packaged and fully tested for a wide range of pipeline applications.

The complete system includes a process simulation using Aspen Plus® and Aspen Dynamics®, local control panel, instruments, tubing, valves, fast acting and motor actuators, and filtration integrated on skid.

This package can be modified as a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Decanter System.

Complete Gas Pressure Reduction System Overview

IFS natural gas pressure reduction systems are designed as fully integrated, skid-mounted engineered systems that include:

  • Inlet filtration and separation
  • Pressure regulation (worker/monitor regulator configurations)
  • Overpressure protection (relief valves and slam shut systems)
  • Control valves and actuators
  • Instrumentation and local control panel
  • Optional heating and gas conditioning (as required)

This system-level design ensures stable downstream pressure, simplified installation, and reliable performance across pipeline and industrial applications.

Designed for Safe & Reliable Pressure Control

IFS regulator stations are engineered to safely manage pressure letdown across varying flow conditions while protecting downstream equipment and infrastructure:

  • Designed to prevent overpressure events and protect critical assets
  • Supports redundant control configurations (worker/monitor systems)
  • Engineered for fail-safe operation in pipeline environments
  • Maintains stable downstream pressure under fluctuating demand

Pressure Control Configurations

IFS systems can be configured to meet a wide range of control strategies and operational requirements:

  • Worker / monitor regulator configurations
  • Active / standby control schemes
  • Automated or manually actuated systems

These configurations provide flexibility while ensuring consistent and reliable pressure regulation.
